very great staff and a good location. lovely hotel by keil burn. robinson crusoe statue was placed in direct proximity.
The rooms and service were nice for us. Nothing to complain about. Food is good. We could easily get to lundin golf club and Montrave Hall was just next door the hotel...
I liked the helpful waiter and waitress, and the efficient and considerate room cleaners. The food was excellent, except my daughter's (child's) pasta which was too plain.
Being locked out with my wife and 2 year old daughter between 0030 and 0210; until I climbed in through an insecure window. The manager failed to understand that the only appropriate compensation is measured in sterling and offered me a couple of drinks - I rarely drink.
Wonderful Bedroom and ambience
The staff were fantastic and helped make our stay relaxed and enjoyable.
handily placed for golfers being close to a number of good courses and not too far from st andrews; close to a good sandy beach and nearby rural countryside and picturesque fishing villagers; hotel warm and comfortable.
we could,nt really say there was any aspect of the hotel not to like.
The young staff who attended to us at dinner and breakfast were most helpful and friendly.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room and ensuite bathroom had been recently been redecorated and were very clean and spacious. We enjoyed a good choice for breakfast and dinner was well presented. We extended for an extra night with no problem.
The hotel does not have a lift and carrying suitcases up to the third floor was strenuous!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and dining were good value for moneyand the food was good. Our only complaint was the hotel had very noicy plumbing and we were often woken at night with noisy pipes and fans.
The staff were very friendly and the food was well presented and good value for money. The hotel was tidy and very clean but could do with having a lift installed as there was 7 flights of stairs to climb to get to the top floor. The location was central for visits to St. Andrews and other sea side villages. We would go back to this hotel again and we would recommend it to friends.
Nice comfortable hotel as a base for travelling to golf coarses and for visiting St Andrews or beach areas close by - even by public transport.
The hotel does not have a lift so it was a bit difficult and tiring walking up three flights of stairs, particularly with luggage. The hotel always felt that it was under staffed, but this may have been because it was off-peak.
The Staff were very welcoming and friendly the Hotel room was very large but cosy the Teddie bears were a lovely feature and the Bed was massive loved the whole experience Thankyou xx
We were at shirley and james hunters wedding and we had a good time food was good staff warm and friendly.
The quiet, warm spacious room. The fact that it was quiet although it faced the road. The magnificent views over the Links,Largo Bay, the Bass Rock etc. from the reception suite and the breakfast room.
We were with family from Australia the hotel was comfortable and cosy with atmosphere and Staff were very warm welcoming and obliging .It gave a positive outlook on good old Scottish Hospitality.Thank you All.
